Honda redesigns the Accord for 2018, undertaking what it calls “the most dramatic remake in 41 years.” The company’s Odyssey minivan is also all new and loaded with family-friendly safety, infotainment, and convenience features. The Fit subcompact car is updated, too, and the Clarity lineup expands beyond fuel-cell and electric drivetrains to include a new plug-in hybrid model offering 47 miles of electric range and 340 miles of total range.

  • LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels
  • Turbocharged, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard, making 193 horsepower and 193lb.-ft. of torque
  • Available turbocharged, 2.1-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 253 horsepower and 274 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Most trims have a continuously variable transmission, but a5-speed manual gearbox is available for the Sport
  • Hybrid model returns early in 2018, equipped with third-generation gas-electric hybrid power
  • Larger interior, especially for rear-seat passengers
  • Standard equipment includes LED headlights and taillights, automatic high-beam headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-in. programmable driver information display, Straight Driving Assist, and Honda Sensing driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies
  • All except LX trim have a touch-screen infotainment system with an 8-in. display, radio volume and tuning knobs, and Apple  and Android Auto smartphone projection
  • All except LX and Sports trim have a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert
  • Newly available features, depending on trim, include automatic Bluetooth phone pairing, wireless device charging, next-generation HondaLink services including a 4G  Wi-Fi hotspot, remote engine starting via the smartphone app, a 6-in. head-up display, and front/rear park-assist sensors
